ABOUT

The Nuance is a professional rock band based in Lowell, Michigan. The group was established in 2020 by singer-songwriter Case Sheldon and guitarist Caiden Hinzmann, later joined by fellow Lowell High School graduates Connor McLane and Patrick Kargl. The Nuance is primarily a live band, playing mostly covers and some originals that showcase their signature poppy sound. From classic rock standards by Skynyrd and Tom Petty, to 90s hits by Stone Temple Pilots and The Black Crowes, to alt-rock staples by Jet and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to modern-day country favorites by Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, and so much more, The Nuance is sure to have something in store for all audiences to enjoy.

The Nuance has opened for several noteworthy artists and bands, including The War and Treaty, Pop Evil, Shallow Side, and Derek Randall. On August 23, 2025, The Nuance was crowned the winner of Walk The Beat Albion 2025, an annual music festival and competition held in Albion, Michigan, where fans vote for their favorite musical act out of 20 bands. Prior to that, The Nuance took 2nd place out of 40 bands at Walk The Beat Grand Haven on August 9, 2025, and took 2nd place out of 40 bands at the same event in 2024. The Nuance regularly performs at many popular West Michigan music venues including The Score, The B.O.B., Twisted Bull Saloon, and The Kirby House, among others, and also contracts for private events.
